Back in his Bad Boys era, Rick Mahorn exuded eclectic style with class — and he still dresses the same way today. Color is his compass. He chooses pieces that complement his skin tone and gets inspiration from other sharply dressed people. He didn't discover the joy of dressing well until the NBA, but once he bought his first custom suit, he was hooked.
Rick loves Louis Vuitton and other luxury designers, though he often jokes about the challenge of finding his size. He's thrilled they finally make shoes in a size 15. He doesn't really shop; instead, he gathers ideas and takes them to his designers. "I use Ray Hines at Cicchini Custom Clothier," he says. "He gets me completely together." For sportier looks, he turns to Tarance Deas of David Abraham Clothiers, but his favorite is Everett Hall out of D.C. "When I leave a room, I want them to say, 'Damn, that man can dress.'"
